CCG Ship Time

The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) has committed 35 days of sail time per year for five years to support CISMaRT-led R&D projects. After evaluating the proposed projects from CISMaRT members, CISMaRT will provide CCG with an annual list of projects and their relative priority. CCG will review the projects and evaluate the prioritized list with a focus on the expected or potential impact on vessel operations, either through installation of equipment or while on program. Priority will be for non-commercial research projects which ideally involve partners from three stakeholder groups – industry, government and academia.
